Let Your Charity Bloom This Ramadan
Ramadan is more than a month of fasting it is a season of mercy, compassion, and multiplied reward. It is a time when generosity carries deeper meaning and when small acts of kindness can transform lives.
While many families prepare their homes and tables for suhoor and iftar, countless widows, orphaned children, and displaced families in Goma, Congo enter Ramadan with uncertainty. For them, the concern is not planning meals it is wondering whether there will be any food to break their fast at all.
At United Hope, we believe that Ramadan should be a month of dignity, not distress. This year, our Ramadan Program is focused on delivering essential food packages, basic household supplies, and spiritual support to families who have endured years of conflict, displacement, and economic hardship. With your partnership, we can replace fear with relief and hardship with hope.
The Reality on the Ground
In Goma, many households continue to struggle due to prolonged instability and poverty. Daily survival is already a challenge. During Ramadan, the pressure intensifies as families strive to provide even the most basic meals for suhoor and iftar without reliable income or resources.
This sacred month reminds us of our shared responsibility.
As Allah says in the Qur’an:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills.”
(Qur’an 2:261)
Ramadan offers each of us the opportunity to plant seeds of mercy seeds that can nourish entire families and grow into lasting impact.
Your support is not simply a donation. It is food on a table, dignity restored to a mother, and comfort brought to a child who would otherwise go to sleep hungry.
This Ramadan, let us give in a way that reflects the spirit of the month generously, sincerely, and with the intention to uplift those who need it most.
